At the InterClassics Maastricht that took place from 14–17 January, Stace was one of the names in the winners’ circle. With a Porsche 356 Pre A Speedster, Stace won the Octane-InterClassics Maastricht Best Restored Car Award.

Craftsmanship and passion

‘It was a challenge to restore this Speedster to its original state,’ explains Stephan Schrauwen. ‘We worked on it for about three years. 90% of the bodywork and panels were no longer available and needed to be made by hand. A lot of know-how, craftsmanship and passion played a part.’

Colour

The colour determines a great part of the identity of an oldtimer. And for this oldtimer, it may well have been the biggest challenge of all. Armed with a colour scanner, Stace travelled to diverse museums to track down the original ‘Speedster Blue’ colour.
